The lake supports rich birdlife. Guests often look for African fish eagles, cormorants, pelicans, herons and other waterbirds along the papyrus. A pair of binoculars helps; we do not print a guaranteed species list because the water and the season decide what shows.

Most guests already at a lakeside or town hotel are collected from the property and driven a short way to the jetty. Morning and late-afternoon windows are the usual request; we confirm pickup when we know the hotel and whether Crescent Island is included.
Lakeside lodges can be requested around the boat on hotels. Transcend does not operate those properties. Overnight guests often keep the same vehicle for Lake Nakuru the next day or as a pause on a Maasai Mara road circuit.
Bring sun protection, a light jacket for spray and wind, and shoes you do not mind getting dusty if you add Crescent Island. Binoculars help for birds. Leave large suitcases at the hotel.
